Strider Knives
Materials and design
Strider makes knives folding knives and fixed-blade knife, using metals such as ATS-34, CPM S30V steel, titanium, stellite, beryllium, Damascus steel, and BG-42 for blades.
Strider fixed blade knife either use parachute cord or G-10 fiberglass for to handle material.
Strider uses a proprietary heat treatment originally developed by Paul Bos of Buck knives. This resulted in the knife blades of ATS-34 or BG-42 back from heat treat with a very dark color blade that is bead blasted then a flat gray color. After masking a leaf in front beadblasting, Mick Strider found it has resulted in a striping effect or disguise and has become a part of the design. As the newest steel Strider uses, CPM S30V does not darken after heat treatment, a black oxide coating is applied first.
Military Models
Strider's first project as a company is to supply Naval Special Warfare Group 1 in the WB and BG models in 1994. Strider Knives currently makes several models specifically for U.S. Military Units in the Global War on Terror, each with NSN designated own number. 1095-01-531-5015 is the National Stock Number for Strider SMF (officially known as the Knife, Folding, Special Mission). The Strider DB-L (official designated as Knife, Fixed, Camo) NSN 1095-01-531-5023, the JB1 (officially designated the Shroud Knife) NSN 1670-09-000-3920, and the knife Probe developed for mine detection NSN 1095-01-503-7231 is Strider's fixed blades NATO Stock Numbers.
Strider Knives has designed a new bayonet it expects the market in the U.S. military. The Blade S30V is CPM and features a tang extending all the way to the latch plate for increased strength. Strider designed for zero tolerance bayonet knife, which will release it as the bayonet ZT D9.

Strider SnG Lancet
After eight years of making fixed blade knife, Strider turned to making folding knives. Strider's goal is to produce a knife that is as strong as a fixed blade. At work toward this goal, Strider relied on the use of fiberglass G10 handles, titanium liners thicker than what is in current use in the cutlery industry and a pivot Screw large 0.19 "in diameter. The end result is two linerlocks known as AR and GB models. Strider framelock also makes titanium folding knife handle. The use the model touch herself as the locking mechanism and model named the SMF, SnG, PT, and RC.
