I bought this guy as a birthday present for myself – And this is one of the best things I ever bought.
I liked the look of the tools and features, as it is given. I was especially looking for a) a good knife and 2) a reasonable rod. I have both, and then some of this tool. Key features include a knife, pliers, screwdriver (bits) and carabiner / bottle opener.
The Knife – This is a good sharp knife. Even after a year and regular use is still very sharp. My old Multitool is a rather dull knife, it is safe for the sharp edges of the fingers can not run and cut the material. This is not the case of knives. The best part is that you do not need to use a rod (as in other multitools tomorrow). Snaps firmly and feels good.
To tell the truth, a small incision the beginning when I was careless with a knife. Often, though I do not know is that you cut, I noticed I was bleeding. This is probably the first I had sharp knife, and I quickly learned to appreciate how sharp it is.
Tongs – it was a pleasant surprise. They are very similar to regular pliers. They are not specific shape radiator, more generally – what is good in most situations. head that is sharp enough to act a little like the needle nose, but the form will use it sorta like a slip joint. In general, work in a pinch, either as a, but as you know in advance what you need to better get the right tool.
The cutter works pretty well, although in most cases, I think I prefer the knife. And remove the section seems inappropriate – it are not particularly good, and sometimes I had more luck with just a knife.
Bits – It's nice that both Phillips and flat head bits, the tools, they are easy to replace and secure place. Bits are themselves strong and the size of which is probably a large majority of meeting time need sharpening. Using tools such as screwdrivers, however, leaves much to be desired. It works and it is better than most Pocket knife / multi-tools, but it is not easy to work with the tool shape. Is it not perfectly flat and has a unique shape as a screwdriver. It's still a great addition the tool and adds a great utility. For example, if it really seemed like you say in the bathroom and see a light switch plate is loose. You can Skeletool without a screwdriver and turn to download.
Carabiner / bottle opener – both excellent. I am confident that the gun in the tool is plugged into account. Arm guns have a smooth action and it is not difficult to open – which means they are not the way bottle opener. Bottle opener is very good. Better than a keychain bottle opener I've used, and it is better than my Swiss Army knife.
"Ergonomics" – size and weight make the product very easy to carry around. Sometimes it feels a bit bulky in the pocket (especially if something in your pocket), so you can use the belt clip. It is very useful enough to justify me in all the time and it is difficult to weight problems.
Sheets can be used right or left hand, but the opening of the knife in one hand right hand use. The method the magazine makes it difficult to exit a hand with your left hand.
As already mentioned, Screwdriver / Bit mode is not as comfortable as a rod / Using the sheets. It runs on short rotation / relaxation of the situation, but I do not think about using it for a wider use, except if only I had no other choice. It is nice to know that although it may be useful to use it this way, then at least be.
Finally – the best part of this instrument (for me) is that there are great gifts for friends. I suck at thinking of gifts, so the gift of the default option, which works great. I bought a few passengers and anyone who has gotten one has moved. My only problem this year has passed, almost all of my friends either a gifted or bought one for himself, so I'll have to think about what to give back.

Is there an advantage in getting the CX? I'd assumed It is lighter, but I later checked with Leatherman's site and it shows the weight is the same. At least it looks cool. It is very minimal, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, it pretty much is all I need 95% of the time. Mine did not come with a serrated knife as pictured, but I'll live. carabiner was great to hook onto a belt loop instead of having it jingling in your pocket. In this way I do not miss another Leatherman ever again.

This is my second skeletool. Went I'm in the Holocaust museum in DC and had my old one in my pocket. I ended up putting it in a trash can because of security there. A big DOH!
I missed my knife so much I ordered one when we got back.
What I like about the knife blade is the access, pliers and screwdriver bits. Can You use your thumb to flip out the super-sharp knife blade. The plays are useful as grips and although would not want to use them for heavy chores duty, is sufficient for most uses daily. The changeable bits are nice when you do another screwdriver handy.
I'm very satisfied with knife and 'd order another one. Amazon shipping is fast, efficient.

I am looking for a tool that suited me the most, I did not want one with all the useless tools like a saw and a tooth pick, all the tools to do is to make the multi tool larger and more heavily. This one gives you a knife and a bottle opener plays, includes a place where you can include multiple head bits. I recommend you get a carrying case large enough to fit the tools and all the extra bits.
I've got the tools over a year ago, I have used it for changing the bulbs out of the cinema, fixing paintball guns, and picking my nails, the only thing you cannot really do this is to change a tire because it does not have any hooks on it.
Trust me, you should get it unless you plan to cut trees down with it because it does not have a saw.

I work in retail management so I deal with a lot of loose bolts and nuts on display fixtures, cutting the plastic straps, etc. on a daily basis. I love my Surge but it was too much to bear especially in business casual every day. So I chose This little gem up and wow I'm impressed with everything from this design is durability. I have not found much it can handle and the fact that it slides into my discretely pocket is even better. Another factor is how versatile this tool can be. I am a recreational fisherman so I carry this little guy with me and it helps with everything from cutting open a package of new bait tightening a screw reel. So I use in carrying out this tool I feel naked if I left it at home. A definite 5 stars for me!

The Skeletool CX is a great tool for everyday carrying. I clip it to my belt loop and go, and it will take care of 95% of anything that's thrown my way.

something that it never leaves my side. Been cut in my right pocked since the day I got it and I use it almost daily. The whole tool is very good quality and the blade is sharp as hell right out of the package. I have sharpened it once and it is very easy.
I have a classic Leatherman multi-tool that I've owned since I was a kid and I have to say that it is much stronger than the tool. However, this tool is designed to be small light and portable, the other one is heavy, dense, and difficult to use. Just know that it is not controlled, the plays are not designed to hold up a lot of stress. I went camping last month and tried to use pliers to bend a little tent stake. Without much force at all, it plays one side snapped and broke completely off.
Fortunately ALL Leatherman tools have a 50 year warranty and they fixed it for free. I had two tools repaired by their warranty service at the same time is incredibly pleasant experience. They are kind and helpful when you call and they send your tools back like-new condition in no time at all.
Leatherman tools I love and will never buy anything else.

I love this tool. It is lightweight and has all the necessary tools of its bigger counterparts multitool. The knife has amazing quality and holds an edge very well. For those debating between the standard Skeletool CX Skeletool and I would highly recommend spending the extra money just for 154CM steel blade. screwdriver is really nice although the grip takes a little getting used to because when in position screwdriver, the far end (at the end of the bottle opener / carabiner) is not straight. The pliers work fine although I would have liked a little more aa real estate wire cutters. This is the perfect sized to fit in my pocket and one hand access to the knives incredibly useful. For someone looking for a good, lightweight EDC can hold it's own against the full size I would highly recommend multitools the Skeletool CX.

Smooth and sharp
I have a charge but it is more lightweight and blade is very sharp. Cool looking – Using the screwdriver – Good enough. The plays are smaller than the charge, but apparently enough — not really put too much force on them and hope they will not break like other people reported.
I would recommend this tool if a razor blade, pliers and a smallish conveneient scredriver is all that is required.
