Special Events Folding napkins for your Elegant Table
Napkin folds
One way to achieve an elegant look for your table event especially if you are a conscious consumer is to create beautiful napkin folds for your elegant table. Many times fold napkins will enhance your table decor. In By placing a contrasting colored ribbon or flowers in a specialty folded napkins will add the wow factor of your elegant table.
My philosophy is when the napkin is part of the table decor, I have it placed in the center of the place setting of cutlery on both sides to their proper placement. You can These cards also create menu for your dinner party and put them on a folded napkin is folded to hold especially of the menu. Below are some instructions and pictures for a few different napkin folds.
Pocket Fold – Fold A Most Popular Wynning Event
1. Take an 18 " 24 "square linen dinner napkins (preferably one that is new or starched) and lay flat on the table.
2. Then 3 "from the bottom fold dinner napkin up so that you still have the same width but the napkin is now 3 "shorter.
3. Getting to the bottom part is folded, fold it over again 3 ".
4. Now fold the top edge under the napkin 2 "so now the dinner napkin is a folded edge on top.
5. Fold the right side under the napkin and then the left side under the dinner napkins so that now the napkins folded in thirds.
6. You can then would like to place a flower in the pocket or on the dinner menu printed on 5 ½ "X 7" cardstock or your silverware.
Tuxedo Fold
1. Take a 18 "to 24" square cloth napkin (preferably one that is new or starched) and lay flat on the table.
2. Fold the cloth napkins in half widthwise and then lengthwise in half so now resides napkins with the open quarter at the top left of the napkin.
3. Then roll the first layer cloth napkins with you so therefore the upper left corner is now met the lower right.
4. Fold the second layer toward you and tuck it under first layer. The top left corner of the napkin should be about halfway under the first layer.
5. The next layer of cloth napkins and fold it away from you and tuck in the upper left corner about 1 / 3 of the way under the second layer.
6. Then fold the right and left side edge center back.
7. You may then want to place a flower or silverware in the first fold.
Tie Bouquet
1. Take a 18 "To 24" square linen handkerchief (preferably one that is new or starched) and lay flat on the table.
2. Then fold it into triangle with the point of the triangle facing upward and the hypotenuse to the bottom.
3. Take out of the corners and bring them into the top corner to make a diamond.
4. Grab Linen napkins in the middle, gather it and tie it with ribbon.
5. You may want to place a flower on top of the gather.
Butterfly or Fan
1. Take a 18 "to 24" square linen napkins (preferably one that is new or starched) and lay flat on the table.
2. Then start a fold about a 1 "to 1 ½" wide from the top down and fold linen napkins with you.
3. Flip the napkin over and make the same size fold this time from the bottom portion of the napkin and fold away from you.
4. Continue to repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have completely folded the napkins.
5. Keeping it too in the center, tie a ribbon and then fan out the edges.
In terms of event set-up time and folding napkins, often in a Wynning Event activities include it as part of the scope of work for the florist that I rent. I get the napkins ahead of time from the rental company and deliver it to my florist. They then fold the napkins, bring them to the site and put them on the table. It is truly amazing what a difference a flower and a special napkin fold can make the table.
