First Aid for Broken Bones – Help is On the Way!

First aid for seed has two initial concerns. The first is to get people to a doctor as soon as possible. The second is to prevent further damage in the area of fracture due to unnecessary movement until help arrives. When the bone is broken, the surrounding tissue is affected. This is especially true when the bone breaks in pieces that move around. In addition, some suspected bone, such as neck or back bone, requires special handling

First aid for bones concentrates on stabilizing the fractured area long enough to ask for help. The first thing you want to do is to visually examine the area and determine if there is bleeding. If so, bleeding should be stopped using compression. It will probably be painful for people with broken bones though, so just worry about serious or life threatening bleeding.

You should not try to move a person with a broken bone. The more the injured person may remain immobile until help arrives, the more likely that there will not further damage. When a bone breaks, bone damage and damage to surrounding tissue can cause shock. It is important to cover people with a blanket or some other covering if at all possible.

Most bone fractures will not cause death. But some fractures can cause paralysis or damage the brain if not handled properly. If you know or suspect someone has a head, neck or back injury, first aid for bone dictates using whatever you can keep people and straight anyway. There are many cases where paralysis occurred only because the bones shifted when people who have moved injury. Broken bones can sever nerves and cause many other problems.

In the case of broken arms and legs, first aid for bone includes applying cold compresses or ice fracture in the area. This reduces bruising and swelling. The legs should also be raised. Sometimes injuries occur in areas where assistance can not be reached immediately. In that case, first aid for bone will include making a splint for the arm or leg for immobilization and finding ways to keep the weight off the leg by a makeshift crutch.

If The area below the fracture turns blue and cold, this means that the fracture has cut off the blood supply. In this case, first aid for broken bones focused on straightening the foot as possible to restore blood flow. This should be done carefully, slowly and gently.

Immediate first aid for broken bones can play a crucial role in preventing permanent damage as a result of the injury. Keeping the injured person immobile as possible is important. You should always get medical help as soon as possible.
