The dreaded Black Widows (A Serious Health Concern)
"Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly," is an often quoted as saying. Whoever it may be derived from this entity had in mind. The mere thought of the Black Widow causes most of us to pause and even strike fear into the hearts of some folks.
Contrary to urban legend, Black widows do not aggressively go out to bite us. They are shy creatures that prefer to avoid contact with us or any entity that may pose a threat to them. If disturbed, as with any spider, Black widow flee in a sheltered place and wait until whatever caused them to flee has passed. They often live in remote areas, typically low to the ground, which, it is likely to avoid detection. It is this tendency, however, that the main problem. Bites usually occur when unsuspecting people put their hands unprotected, bare feet, etc. in remote areas, such as wood piles, shrubs & ground cover plants, rarely used the box, sometimes using personal articles, such as boots shoes stored in dark places, Children's play equipment etc. Black widows can harbor too: Things such as sand boxes, swings, play houses, etc. can have areas where spiders may hide. Sure wear gloves when working in areas where the Black Widow can harbor. Check footwear, have not spoken for some time, before wearing it. Regular check children's toys and recreational equipment to reduce the chance of an unfortunate encounter.
This is the woman who poses a threat when he comes in contact people. The Black widow bite can inflict a first acute illness or, in some cases, can not be detected at all. However, as the poison spreads through of the body, it wreaks havoc and can cause debilitating pain. Although the venom is not fatal for most people, the very young, very old and those with hypertension may be at risk. It important for anyone who has been bitten, regardless of age or medical conditions, to seek immediate medical attention.
